Welcome to the fourth issue of Inklings magazine!
If you are reading this, thank you. These young writers have worked very hard to write this, even with everything that’s happening in the world. If you want to write for Inklings Magazine For Kids and By Kids, just keep writing! The more you write, the better you get. If you need some inspiration, go to IMFKBK Young Writers’ Group on Facebook and try some of the writing prompts! Once you’ve written something great, send it to us and we might publish it in the next issue of Inklings Magazine For Kids and By Kids! Our submission guidelines are here. Thank you!

ART
By Hallie Hueckman
Art is fun to do when you’re with your friends.
When you paint, the fun never ends.
You can even draw it on your face,
Which that is a silly place.
You can even sculpt art.
It will make you smart.
You can even make things with yarn.
You could even crochet a barn.
You could make pastel flowers,
But it could take you hours and hours.
You could draw shells,
Or you could use pastels.
You could put it in a store, and it might sell,
Or you could put it on a pedestal.
You could draw till noon
And make a cartoon.
Whatever you do,
Practice and you can be an artist, too.

Day 41
Sorry for a late journal. I didn’t get this idea until now. Well, let me see, ahh, where to begin. Well, today not much happened, but I did make a cool video of my phone and edited it (not finished yet). I also heard that at midnight (12:00), we will not be able to leave the house! We will not be able to even drive on the road (except for going to the store or getting meds). Wow, it sucks mostly for me because I have diabetes, so I can’t even go out the door. You can go in the backyard, but I can’t. I have 4 brothers and 1 sister. It’s kind of hard to live in a house with a lot of kids. Write more later--

Chaos
By Julie Tobin
We can’t arrange the chaos.
We are pieces in a game,
Known by rank and not by name.
We can’t arrange the chaos.
We are pieces in a game,
here to help our world win.
Although it just makes us spin,
We are pieces in a game.
Here to help our world win.
‘Til we search through the maddening layers,
We still think we’re the players.
Here to help our world win.
We still think we’re the players.
We can’t arrange the chaos
If we don’t even know what it will cost.
We still think we’re the players.
We can’t arrange the chaos.
We are pieces in a game,
Known by rank and not by name.
We can’t arrange the chaos.
